The library has been working on migrating its system from Aleph to Alma Primo over the last few months. This move, which involves all the MNPALS libraries, will bring greater efficiencies to our back-end systems and provide more robust discovery services for our users.
The actual migration will begin at 5:00 pm today and the new system should be up and running by 7:30 am Tuesday January 29th. During this transition time users may check out and return materials as usual, but the library catalog will be frozen and not indicate these changes. Transactions will be stored in a temporary catalog and moved to the new system on Tuesday. Interlibrary loan will also be temporarily frozen until Tuesday, so if you have requests for materials not in our library during this period you can send them to firstname.lastname@example.org and Lauren Leighton will process them for you.
For users the main change will be the appearance of the library catalog. Databases and ONESearch will not be affected. If you have questions or concerns about these changes please contact your liaison librarian or your personal librarian.
Thank you for your patience as we make this important transition.
